bullet Egyptian Royal Tombs of the New Kingdom: Information on the tombs, including diagrams, and a history of excavation.

bullet Expedition to Dashur: This website chronicles a Japanese dig at Dashur. A very neat feature of this site is the QuickTimeVR panoramas of the site (if you don't have the QuickTime VR plugin, you will need to download it), however there is much more to this site than just flashy photography. The site also details the survey information, maps, plans, and describes finds. So far only the preliminary survey information is available - the information on the spring and fall season of excavations are still in preparation. SMALL PARASOL

bullet Hatshepsut: The Queen Who Would Be King: Information on Hatshepsut and her temple at Deir el-Bahri.

bullet Institute of Egyptian Art and Acheaology: From the University of Memphis (Tennessee). Virtual tour of the exhibit, or a color tour of Egyptian sites along the Nile river.
 

bullet Introduction to Egypt: Information on the pyramids of Giza and the Valley of Kings.

bullet Mysteries of Egypt: From the Canadian Museum of Civilization, which is involved in a project to make an IMAX film about Egypt's monuments (pyramids, sphinxes, temples, etc.). This website has information about the film, Tutankhamun, and Egyptian civilization.

bullet Oddysey In Egypt: This is a totally cool site designed for Middle School kids as a kind of online archaeology class. At the time it was first presented, it was interactive, with kids being asked to email suggestions to solve real problems encountered when out in the field on a dig. As of 6/3/97, the Oddysey is technically over, in that you should not email them any suggestions, but it is still worth a visit. And you never know, they may start up the Oddysey again.... PARASOL
